Camping, moon light walking, zumba and hay bale races were just some of the attractions on offer at the Cancer Council Lockyer Valley Relay for Life.
The University of Queensland's Gatton residential students had three teams participating.
President of the Resident's Club, Mark Ellwood, said the 45 students who participated thoroughly enjoyed being involved in raising money for such a good cause.
"It was great to set up camp and then meet lots of people in the local community all there to support such a worthwhile cause," Mr Ellwood said.
"Our residents got really involved with one of our residents walking over seventy kilometres!"
"Next year we would like to have even more students participate as it was such a fun and inspiring event," he said.
The Lockyer Valley Relay for Life has raised over $55,000 so far. To show your support visit www.relayforlife.org.au or call 1300 65 65 85.
