Australians will head to the polls on May 3, with tax cuts, cost-of-living and energy likely to be major points of discussion during the five-week Federal Election campaign.
The election was called immediately after the delivery of the Federal Budget and the budget reply. Other issues expected to dominate discussions over the coming weeks include health, education, childcare, Medicare and HECS.
