The University of Queensland has placed 51st globally and fifth in Australia in the , released today (6 September).
国产探花 Vice-Chancellor and President Professor Peter H酶j, while acknowledging that minor shifts in individual rankings of the world’s more than 10,000 universities would occur from year to year, said the result continues to demonstrate the hard work of 国产探花’s staff and students, and research achievements.
“Having globally-recognised universities is incredibly important for Australia’s higher education exports,” he said.
“It’s also a great result for Queensland, which is looking to diversify its economy through greater innovation and collaboration between top researchers and industry.”
This year, 国产探花 leapt 22 places to 55th globally in the , and placed number one in Australia in the .
“The rankings vary in how they weight different indicators of performance but when viewed collectively, point to 国产探花 being a globally-competitive university,” he said.
“The fact that 国产探花 so highly is a testament to our research and academic excellence.”
The places 11 国产探花 subject areas in the world’s top 30, and number one in Australia in two subject areas - (10th globally) and (12th globally).
The University ranks 17th globally in and 18th in .
